Model usage

Your models. Your provider bill.

You pay your model providers directly. We do not resell inference or mark up tokens.

A 5% charge on model spend above $5,000 per month, per organization, applies to both pay as you go and Annual.

For example, $4,000 in monthly model spend adds no usage charge. At $10,000, the usage charge would be $250, calculated on the $5,000 above the threshold.

Questions about pricing

What counts as an active user?

A named person with at least one interaction with OpenBot for Business in the billing month. Only production usage counts. Each person counts once. Bots, agents, API calls, and guests are never counted.

What happens when someone stops using it?

Someone with no interactions in a month is not billed for that month. There is nothing to remove or reassign.

What does the free plan include?

Run OpenBot on your laptop with Docker for personal development and experimentation, with your own agents, models, and tools. Your model provider charges separately for usage. To roll it out to a team, choose pay as you go or Annual.

Where does it run?

Run OpenBot in your own cloud or data center by default. Hosted deployments are available in early access at the same plan price. Annual also supports offline and air-gapped deployments. Model provider usage and your own infrastructure costs are separate.

How is model spend measured?

Model spend is based on the model calls your deployment makes and reported as a monthly total for billing. You continue to pay your model providers directly. The charge is 5% of monthly model spend above $5,000 per organization.

What is included in support?

Standard support by ticket and email is included on paid plans. Annual includes support up to 24/7 production coverage.

How does this relate to CopilotKit Intelligence?

Your OpenBot for Business license covers CopilotKit Intelligence to run OpenBot for Business. Building agents into your own product requires a separate Intelligence license. The OpenBot application source is MIT-licensed.
